- 2009 theme: Support to the 8 Millennium Development Goals adopted by the United Nations September 2000.  The 8 MDGs are the world’s time-bound and quantified targets for addressing extreme poverty in its many dimensions-income poverty, hunger, disease, lack of adequate shelter, and exclusion-while promoting gender equality, education, and environmental sustainability.
They are also basic human rights-the rights of each person on the planet to health, education, shelter,and security.

- Some of the selected films among which : LOS HEREDEROS by Eugenio Polgovsky   (Mexico ) illustrating the MDG 1 , NILOOFAR written & directed by Sabine El Gemayel,( produced by Jean Brehat & Rachid Bouchareb, France/Iran) for the MDG 2, UMOJA by   Jean Marc Crousillac & Jean Marc Sainclair, ( France) for the  MDG 3, and many others.

- A spotlight on India: BULLSHIT (by Pea Holmquist et Suzanne Khardalian) about the Foundation NAVDANYA, with the participation of Professor Vandana Shiva in Geneva.
SARKAR RAJ by Ram Gopal Varma, with Abhishek Bachchan and Mrs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, presenting the screening in Geneva etc…

Partnership with Evian/éQuinoxe: pursuing the same humanitarian goals, Evian/éQuinoxe and Cinéma Vérité combine their work, giving thus a comprehensive dimension to their messages.
The past 31 éQuinoxe screenwriting workshops gave birth to numerous awarded films and hosted more than 300 prestigious advisors, such as this year’s Screenwriters/Directors/producers William Friedkin, Hugh Hudson, Richard LaGravanese leading the Screenwriting Master Classes Evian/éQuinoxe 2009.
